The founding of these United States was the marvel of the 18th Century. Thirteen independent and sovereign nations uniting under established law for a specific purpose. Founded by Christian men desirous of establishing a Republic within whose framework they could be left alone to pursue what was best for their family and community. Their official founding documents reflect all that.

No right thinking person would bind his distant progeny to a legal contract whose very meaning and intent would be permitted to be changed by the whim of strangers in the distant future. Our Constitution limits very specifically the duty of the central government and specifically proscribes the method of its change. Change by any other method is no longer the Rule of Law, but rather the rule of man.
