The British Monarchy often referred to the Scots and Irish, whom they desired to subjugate, as Rebels. Often men whose desire to rule for plunder, object when others resist their efforts. Those same Rebels became pioneers, frontiersmen and colonists on the North American Continent and carved their own countries. The British Colonies of Africa, Australia, Canada, and India did not resist the tyranny as the Americans did; as Americans had a Western legal and Christian tradition the others lacked. The 16th U.S. President and his Progressive Jacobin supporters called Southerners “Rebels” for the same reason used earlier by the British Monarchy. That being the overwhelming desire to rule and plunder. Resistance to tyranny always brings this result.
