Description on the back of the product box: There Stands Jackson! The cornerston of the Stonewall Jackson Monument was first laid by Confederaet Veterans June 25, 1914. It was sculpted by F. William Sievers, a resident of Richmond and creator of the famed Virginia Memorial in Gettysburg. The Jackson monument was officially unveiled on October 11, 1919, Joining Lee’s along Monument Avenue. The day saw an elaborate unveiling ceremony with an accompanying parade wthat included the entire Corps of Cadets from V.M.I., units of the Va. National Guards, with motor vehicles carrying Governor Westmoreland David and Jackson family members. It was a true Virginia celebration. General Jackson was an unparralleled leader in his life.
