Description on the back of the product box:

Follow the Feather of Stuart Tonight!
When General J.E.B. Stuart passed away in Richmond, May 12, 1864, the city immediately committed to raising a memorial to Virginia’s Last Cavalier. However, due to the hardships of Reconstruction, it took 27 years for fundraising to begin. It wasn’t until 1904, that Fred Moyniham was selected to execute the new monument.

The Stuart Monument was unveiled by his own granddaughter, “Little Miss” Virginia Stuart Walker, during the 1907 annual convention of the United Confederate Veterans. Stuart’s widow and 500 of his cavalrymen were in attendance along with 60,000 people.

Jeb Stuart embodied the spirit and vigor of Olde Virginny. His bravery, dash and gallantry serve as an inspiration to young Southerners to this day. As Lee’s Cavalry Commander, he was the trusted eyes of the Army of Northern Virginia. This is the third Collector’s Christmas Ornament for Monument Avenue, exclusively from Confederateshop.com.
