Our Jefferson Davis Ornament is made entirely of bronze colored tin, with an ornate laser cut frame overlay, with the photograph of the Davis monument in the center. Description on the back of the product box:
The Jefferson Davis Monument was dedicated in 1907 on the 99th birthday of the President of the Confederate States of America. The dedication ceremony was preceded by a parade which one account describes as one of the "grandest and most imposing ever witnessed in Richmond." The grandeur of the event was only surpassed by the unveiling of Lee's statue 17 years before. The magnificent monument was the most complex on Monument Avenue, consisting of a figure of Davis, a bronze "Spirit of the South" figure atop a 60-foot-column, and 13 columns for the 13 Confederate States. The Monument served as Tribute to the whole Confederacy.
Despite the Spoilers' attempt to erase Jeff Davis by renaming his highway and tearing down his monument, they cannot erase him from our hearts. Get the 4th addition to our Monument Avenue Christmas ornaments with this exclusive Jeff Davis Monument Ornament from ConfederateShop.com!
