Our Old Virginia Mug features a picture of the current state boundaries, along with a short description of the Commonwealth, AND a nice photo of our unreconstructed Virginia seal! Description on the mug: The Commonwealth of Virginia is famous for its colonial culture, statesmen, historic estates, and battlefields. It was first settled in 1607 at Jamestown by Englist colonists and named for Queen Elizabeth, the Virgin Queen. Virginia is noted as the birthplace of eight Presidents: Washington, Jefferson, Madison, Monroe, Tyler, Harrison, Taylor, and Wilson. Virginia’s motto, Sic Semper Tyranni, means “Thus Always to Tyrants.”
