The 90-foot James River Granite Pyramid pictured above honors all Confederate who sacrificed for the sake of Constitutional Liberty.

Back:

Hollywood Cemetery was founded by Richmond natives Joshua Fry and William Haxall. They engaged the services of Philadelphia landscape architect John Notman whose “rural” design was as much for the living as for the dead. Here city dwellers could commune with nature and enjoy the surrounding tranquility. Hollywood Cemetery is owned by the lot owners and is not a for profit, non-stock corporation dedicated to its perpetual care. No other setting in Richmond offers more spectacular views or is richer in history and tradition.
