Back:

Beverly Tucker Lacy, though born in Virginia, was raised in Missouri and Tennessee. He received his early education from his Father, a Presbyterian Minister. He graduated Washington College, Lexington, Va., then Princeton Seminary in N.J. He began his pastorate at Kent Street Presbyterian Church in Winchester, Va. He pastored several Churches until, at the behest of his friend Thomas Jackson, he offered his service to the Confederate government in 1862. He was instrumental in establishing regular and systematic Religious services and training to the Army of Northern Virginia. His admonitions and Scriptural guidance to his longtime friend and Commander, General Jackson were of invaluable service.
