Seldom do we mortal have the opportunity to breathe the air of truth that has been kept sealed and secreted by professional academics whose job it is to glorify their masters. H.W. Johnstone, 5th Georgia Volunteers, Confederate Veteran, has opened the vault and released facts that though are incredible are none-the-less true. These official war record facts were not available to earlier writers and Johnstone has done outstanding sleuthing in order to unearth these documents and place them in chronological order and sequence them in such a fashion as to make his case crystal clear.

He finished his work in 1917 and it was published in 1921; I suspect it quickly went out of print and became lost to academic historians; since its evidence probed treason on the part of the 16th President and his willing accomplices. How could this be? Sir John Harrington (1561-1612) provided the answer long ago, "Treason doeth never prosper...for if it prosper, none dare call it treason." The destruction of the Jeffersonian Repulbic and its replacement with the Hamiltonian "American System" brought immense wealth to yankee merchants, industrialists and especially bankers; which mean that "that treason" was not to be investigated, discussed or studied; rather heaps of treasonous and false accusations should be made Southward to deflect attention; and the sage advice of Frederic Bastiat applies here in spades, "When plunder becomes a way of life for a group of men living together in a society, they create for themselves in the course of time a legal system that authorizes it and a moral code that glorifies it."

Although Compatriot Johnstone's work is comparatively small with regard to the number of pages, its content is ballistic; and the publisher has furnished an appendix of valuable information which complements. Please read this book and pass it on to others who seek to know why the present states of affairs exists in this country. Sadly, its been going on for over one-hundred and fifty years but only recently manifested its cumulative malignant and loathsome consequences.
