Front:  July 13, 1825 –  March 15, 1886. Lieutenant Confederate States Navy, Commanding CSS Shenandoah, the last Confederate cruiser – October 8, 1864 – November 6, 1865.

Back:  In her brief 13 month around-the-world odyssey the Confederate Cruiser CSS Shenandoah logged 58,000 miles, took as prizes 38 yankee vessels with a value of 1.4 million dollars along with 1053 prisoners. After destroying a yankee whaling fleet in the Arctic water off the coast of Alaska, Captain Waddell later learns of Appomattox while off the coast of California. He then sails back around-the-world to surrender to British authorities in Liverpool, England.
