This particular flag was used by the Cherokee Mounted Rifles under the command of Colonel Stand Watie.
The flag is in the pattern of the 1st National Confederate flag, with a circle of 13 stars (representing the 13 Confederate states), along with 5 red stars in the middle which represent the 5 civilized tribes supporting the Confederacy.
