Sow Good Seed

Consider this: Thirteen families, whose property comprises multiple square miles, desire to form a mutual compact; they hire a law firm and give them very specific power of attorney over very specific tasks. Their tasks are to administer physical security over family property which is contiguous. They are to referee disputes between families. They are to mint a common coin for all to use and secure the transportation of letters and parcels between members. Some of the families specifically state that if the agreement wasn’t to their liking, they would leave the agreement in-as-much as they are principals and this was understood by all to be the case.

Over time the families grew and new families were formed which desired to participate in the compact. As the number of participating families increased the law firm grew to keep up with demand. All the families prospered but some prospered more than others; some families relied on largesse and pilferage from other families. During one 41 year period several scheming families sought to leave the agreement but their individual members refused to allow it. The remaining families, told the ones who wished to leave, “We’re sorry the compact isn’t working for you, good luck.” When the disgruntled family leaders realized that their individual members didn’t wish to depart, they schemed to place willing accomplices (men without virtue) within the office of the law firm in order to corrupt the spirit of the agreement to their advantage.

Again, over time, subtle corruptions became unbearable for several families who unanimously concluded that it was time to exit the compact their grandfathers had begun. They chose to form a new agreement among themselves nearly identical to the one they were leaving as their intent was to divorce themselves from the troublesome families. The law firm, now under control of the other scheming families, ordered the remaining members to assemble troops to invade and take over the exiting families whom they called Rebels. This outrageous order by the law firm incensed several other families who immediately agreed to exit also.
By this time, the law firm controlled sufficient resources to muster the power to overwhelm these exiting families. The defeated families had the bulk of their wealth stolen and or destroyed. Their family treasures were desecrated and institutions erased with overwhelming numbers and efficiency. Outrageous lies were promulgated to poison their progeny’s memories of their ancestors. The remaining beaten family members were then saddled with a bill from the law firm. The defeated families struggled for over one hundred years to pay the bill.

In the beginning the law firm worked for the families who hired them. In the end, the law firm took control of all the families. I have just given a thumbnail history of our founding to our so called Civil War. It should be common knowledge that when you hire a lawyer and give power of attorney, you can also revoke that power and dismiss him. That is essentially what the South did when seceding from the Union. It wasn’t until after the war that The US Supreme Court arbitrarily decreed (Texas vs. White) secession un-Constitutional, this after the court was packed with Progressives. Thus, sovereign States became political districts to be ruled.

Milton Friedman (1912-2006) a superb anti-progressive economist who receive a Nobel Prize for Economics said, “Everywhere in the world there are gross inequities of income and wealth. They offend most of us. Few can fail to be moved by the contrast between the luxury enjoyed by some and the grinding poverty suffered by others. In the past century a myth has grown up that free market capitalism—equality of opportunity as we have interpreted that term—increases such inequalities, that it is a system under which the rich exploit the poor. Nothing could be further from the truth. . . . A society that puts equality—in the sense of equality of outcome—ahead of freedom will end up with neither equality nor freedom. The use of force to achieve equality will destroy freedom, and the force, introduced for good purposes, will end up in the hands of people who use it to promote their own interests.” When free enterprise seems to fail and receives a negative assessment it is simply the consequence of the involvement of men without virtue seeking greed and monopoly who endeavor to control markets and labor for their personal enrichment; it is not the fault of the system but of the wicked intent of the ones seeking control.

As I said in an earlier newsletter (March – I Do Solemnly Swear), distilled history is the observation of the continuing struggle of good and evil. Individuals deal with the same struggle daily. History is replete with identical contentions in every civilization as the nature of the human heart is consistent; it possesses a desperately wicked tendency (Jeremiah 17:9). The evil that secured a massive foothold within our institutions was codified by the 16th President and has had over 150 years to metastasize and burrow deep within trusted organs. Within the past decade Progressive Marxists have become more outspoken and bold in their call to fundamentally change the country and culture. Their century of success has been precisely because they also burrowed into Theology Schools and Churches which has caused many who claim to be Christians (II Timothy 4:3-4) to rush to their support. Many Churches claim Christ but their Pastors and leaders are nothing more than wolves in sheep’s clothing (Matthew 7:15, Acts 20:28-29). This is very serious business; you must decide whom you will serve (Joshua 24:15).

As followers of Christ we are ordered to not give place to evil (I Timothy 6:11, II Corinthians 6:17) as we are children of light (Matthew 5:14). You must “Abjure the Realm” as much as possible in order to keep wicked influences away from yourself and family; even though our institutions and culture are controlled by the wicked. So, that makes it a full time job aided by God’s Word, the Holy Spirit, and alertness. Always remember, when you hear something, consider the source. A poem I wrote years ago addresses this issue and in my opinion should be practiced by every mature adult and taught to every child. It is simply titled guard yourself.

Guard your eyes and ears, as these nurture thought
Guard your thoughts, as these direct your speech,
Guard your speech, as it precedes action,
Guard your actions, as these guide direction
Guard your direction, as it dictates destiny.

In Seventy-some years of navigating this culture and observing its decline I have concluded that folk are deficient in academic and spiritual training which results in the absence of common sense and a moral compass. I am reminded of something from the once Christian Princeton Review, “As in a field, if you do not sow grain, you will have weeds: so in the human mind, if you do not sow truth, you will have error. The attempt therefore to exclude the Bible from our common schools is an attempt to bring up infidelity and atheism in that part of our population that depends on these schools for their education.” You see, today’s Progressive Yankee education has accomplished its task surreptitiously, and with willing accomplices unaware of the damage they are sowing in young minds; all in the cause of their so called equality.
